2. The age of the learner, his level of maturity should determine the method to be adopted.
3. The method adopted must be capable of arousing the interest of the learner.
4. The method adopted must give both the teacher and the learner some sense of satisfaction.
5. It must be capable of achieving the purpose of which it had been chosen.
