It has to do with the way a teacher communicates the subject to the students. It involves regular steps to guide the mental processes of the leaner in mastering the subject matter presented to him.

Teaching method comprises the principles and methods used by the teachers to enable students learn. These strategies are determined partly on subject matter to be taught.
In educational process, the three most important factors are:
- The child
- The teacher
- The subject matter.
Take away one of the factors and it is doubtful if there can be any education. The child who is to be educated is considered the most important factor. The teacher is necessary to guide him in the educative process. Without the teacher, the child may learn the wrong things. In the subject matter, the teacher decides what is to be taught to the child. The teacher needs to know his subject to be taught very well before teaching the learner.
