The First Private Polytechnic in Nigeria is Our Saviour Institute of Science, Agriculture, and Technology (OSISATECH) Polytechnic and College of Education, Enugu. It was founded by Very Rev. Fr. E.M.P. Edeh, a Catholic priest of the Holy Ghost Congregation.
OSISATECH Enugu is a tertiary institute of higher learning established in 1988, primarily but not exclusively for the disabled and disadvantaged members of society who are normally discriminated against in admission to universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education throughout the country.
The motto of OSISATECH Institute is “Moral and Academic Excellence in Education,” and the goal is to resurrect our moral and academic ideals and standards, which appear to have vanished in the desert of the get-rich-quick craze and other vices that are presently infecting our institutions of higher learning.
Lectures started in the Institute on 6th November 1990 with an initial intake of 500 basic and preliminary students. OSISATECH Location
OSISATECH is located at #1 Ogui Road, Enugu, Enugu State, Nigeria. This is very close to the popular Holy Ghost park in Enugu.
